Straw Marquetry Pedestal Table with Glass Top

This is a truly unusual piece. The square top is covered in fine straw marquetry, thousands of tiny strips of split straw laid by hand into a star at the centre, surrounded by nested diamonds and a chevron border. A glass top protects the pattern and lets the golden straw glow.

The table sits on a stepped pedestal base, with matching straw detail on the base and small turned feet. It works as a side table, a lamp table or a feature piece, and it's a great talking point in a lounge, hallway or study.

Pieces with this level of handwork are rarely found at this price. Visit us in Taree to see it up close, or ask about delivery with Cliffy's Cheaper Removals.
